Halloween may have started in every convenience store two months ago, but the Halloween fun really didn’t start until this past week. Check out some of our favorite digital and ooh campaigns that grabbed people’s attention using the Halloween spirit!
Pokemon Go Halloween Rewards
Pokemon Go is rewarding users this Halloween season. From October 26 through November 1, select “spooky” pokemon including Drowzee, Gastly, Gengar, Golbat, Haunter, Hypno and Zubat will appear more frequently. Candy rewards will also be increased throughout this period, most of them doubling. To encourage more users to use the new Buddy System, Pokemon Go is giving 4 pieces of candy to those using the Buddy System, instead of just one.
Burger King’s Halloween Costume
Burger King in Queens, New York dressed up for Halloween this year. At first, it appeared to be a classic ghost costume; they even added some cool smoke! But at second glance, they were McDonald’s – golden arch and all. Their sign read “Booooo! Just kidding, we still flame grill our burgers. Happy Halloween.”

Halloween Snapchat Filters
If you’re like us (and we're sure most snapchatters are), you love a new snapchat filter. Major events and holidays usually bring in a new face-recognition filter or geofilter, but this Halloween has added Halloween versions of classic filters as well. The classic dog filter, frown filter, and flower crown filter have been updated to offer Halloween versions with skulls, vampire teeth, and cobwebs. Witch and werewolf face-recognition filters have been added. There has also been a new “Draw Your Dream Halloween Costume” geofilter. Check out our social media coordinator’s test of one of the filters below (clearly happier with the Halloween version!).
